Chocolate & Cherry Two-Tone Finish Entertainment Unit LFTV 260 ENT St. Ives

The unit looks excellent in our townhome. The chocolate is not so much brown as it is a very dark, nearly black finish. The cherry is also very dark, but works well with the black. There is not as much of a wood grain finish in the black areas, but the cherry seems to really pop. It is very tall, and comes well-packaged. Which in turn proved a little difficult for our front door. Drawers are all finished with fabric bottoms, which is a nice touch. The side shelves are very small and we can only get 4x6 picture frames in them. The rear section of the TV area is well finished, I'm not sure if it's wood or not, but at least it isn't cheap particle board. The feet quickly left dents in the carpet, however we added those "moving men" furniture sliders to more evenly distribute the load. The lights along the top have three levels, which are activated by a cleverly hidden switch in the upper left opening. The cord runs down the back and out of sight. The drawers and the shelves all have openings to wire electronics through, which made setting up DVD players, VCRs, cable box and various gaming systems a cinch. The separate hutch is nice, however there is no way to attach it to the wall or the base in order to prevent tipping (one star deducted for safety reasons).
